On Saturday, June 26th, Marine Lcpl. Miguel Moreno will be
returning home for leave from a back-to-back deployment in Afghanistan.
His remaining tour will be stateside. Several communities, in
cooperation with God Bless The Troops are conducting a welcome
home for this brave soldier.
We will be travelling southbound on Mannheim Road to Fullerton
Avenue, then west to Wolf and north to the West Leyden Field
House for a Rally in his honor, and in honor of two Gold Star
Families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
We'd love for you to be involved! Calling all community
members!! We need you to assemble for our citizens flag line
and then come on out to the rally!!

Citizens gather along Fullerton Avenue
1. Just west of Mannheim to Wolf Road
2. Fullerton and Wolf Road to West Leyden Field House
Arrive by 11:30 a.m. and get yourself situated. Bring your lawn
chairs and flags! Don't have a flag? We'll have some on hand,
donate any amount or pick one up at:
Northlake City Hall - 55 E. North Avenue, Northlake
Veteran's Park District - Grant Park & Gouin Pool
Leyden Township Community Center
or Leyden Township Offices
(Donations appreciated)
Park on North/South streets during flag line.

1000 Wolf Road, Northlake, IL 60164
If you plan on attending the Rally, please safely
make your way to the High School following the passing of the
Escort. Enter through southernmost driveway (By Entrance
5/6), proceed around rear of building and park in the
rear parking lot. Enter school through Field House Entrance

NOTE: IF you
are coming to the event from the north or west please proceed
as follows as ONLY the southern entrance
will be open to vehicles.
From the west (on Grand
Avenue): Drive past Wolf Road to Roy Street, go south
(right) to Wagner Drive. Proceed west (right) on Wagner to Wolf
Road. Turn right on Wolf Road and get into the left hand lane
for school's southern entrance.
From the east & north (Grand Avenue): Turn
south (left) on Roberta, proceed to Hayes. Proceed west (right)
on Hayes to Wolf Road. Turn right on Wolf Road and get into
the left hand lane for school's southern entrance.
Please allow yourself ample
time to get into the area as once the Escort begins traffic
may be heavier than usual.
